Roka is an industrial design brand that offers recycling units and user-oriented waste bin products to the market. It also designs projects to raise sustainability awareness and turns waste into resources.
THE CHALLENGE
Roka promotes the concept of upcycling in sustainability. It explores materials that are discarded and incorporates them into the design process. They contacted us and stated that they wanted to present their minimal and environmentally friendly waste unit products to the market with a Branding that creates awareness about upcycling and closing the waste cycle.
WHAT WE DID
First, we created modernized waste graphics with abstract shapes designed in different forms. We then created a harmonious Branding out of what aesthetically seems like ‘’disorganized waste’’ With our logo, we are telling the story of the journey of waste that gets back into the loop with upcycling that comes together from the waste-like geometric shapes that form it.
With our logo, we are telling the story of the journey of circling waste within the loop of upcycling, which tells the narrative of the brand through the geometric shapes that form it.
Roka’s new logo and the Branding are almost totally upcycled from the abstract shapes that seemed meaningless and discharged from their purpose. With the statements and the motto, we convey and consolidate the brand message. Our brand communication as a whole is almost an identity card that reflects Roka's playful, minimal and functional design approach.
